1) In the general category of "I love my country, but I fear my government", I notice that conservatives are afraid that the government is going to (a) take their stuff, or (b) prevent them from saying vicious things to powerless people. Liberals, on the other hand (at least since the Bush Administration) are afraid that the government is going to (a) take them, or (b) prevent them from saying anything bad about the government. Those concerns are really different in really obvious ways. And if you can't see that, you're probably a conservative.
2) Does anyone else think that Dick Cheney's constitutional interpretation granting himself complete autonomy has a more than a whiff of the gold fringed flag, name in capital letters, common law court, sovereign citizen, black helicopter tax resister about it?
3) Fuck your Posse Comitatus and the horses they rode in on. The whole world really is the battleground now. I wonder if these commandos report to Cheney's office.
